What types of Patch Tests do we have?
What is a Patch Test?
The purpose of a patch test is to assess the skin irritation potential of the test material typically alongside a positive and negative control.The patches will be applied to your lower back or upper arms at each visit, new patches will be applied each day and the test site will be assessed for any irritation.
What do I need to do in a Patch Test?
You would need to come to the test site for the required number of visits, depending on the study. You must wear clothing that allows easy access to the test sites. You will be required to wear the patches at home for the correct amount of time – approx. 23 hours.
General Inclusion Criteria (*some studies may have more requirements)
Male and Female
Aged 18-70
Must be free from tattoos scars on cuts on the test area.
General Exclusion Criteria (*some studies may have more requirements)
Those who are pregnant or breast feeding.
Those taking medications which may affect the study results.
Those with any active skin condition in the last 6 months.
Those with active asthma in the last 6 months.
How much expense’s will I receive for taking part?
On completion of this study, you will receive between £50 and £310 expenses in the form of a cheque in your own name.
